Il y a quelque temps, j'ai découvert, SAWA par le biais de mon oncle, une marque spécialisée dans la fabrique de chaussure et surtout une marque 100% africaine !
J'ai donc pris la décision il y a quelque jour de contacter le fondateur de la marque pour en savoir un peu plus...malhereusement je n'ai pas eu de réponse (mais c'est pas grave je poursuis!)
De Douala à Addis Abebba en passant par l'Egypte,le Maroc,la Tunisie et le Nigéria...
Sawa est une marque de mode militante né au Cameroun (Douala) le 20 mai 2009.
Mehdi Slimani, jeune entrepreuneur de 39 ans, d'origine algérienne en est le fondateur.
Ainsi, en fabriquant ses chaussures en Afrique, SAWA démontre le savoir faire africain et contribue à l'essor du développement économique local. (Eh C'est ce qu'on aime)
Some time ago I discovered SAWA through my uncle, a brand specialized in the shoe factory and especially a brand 100% African !
So I made the decision some day ago to contact the founder of the brand to know a little more, unfortunately, I have not had an answer (but it's okay I'm suing)

Tout commence en 2009 à Douala (Cameroun), les premières chaussures ont été crée dans une petite usine en plein cœur du quartier N'Dokoti, petit à petit s'est crée une chaîne de production avec des machines à coudre trouvés localement et l'aide de cordonniers.
Alors que le commerce commençait à se développer, les problèmes politiques, tels la corruption sont venus se mêler à l'affaire. (Eh oui la corruption c'est pas une nouveauté)
"Acheter une bière" pour un douanier, un transporteur, un policier... est devenu un événement quotidien au Cameroun, jusqu'au jour où le coût de toutes ces «bières» nous ont conduit à ré-évaluer l'exploitation commerciale »
Vous l'aurez compris, l'aventure camerounaise arriva à sa fin.
De plus l'approvisionnement provenant de Tunisie et d'Egypte a dû cessé avec la « Révolution Tunisienne » et le "Printemps Arabe"

Everything start in 2009, in Douala (Cameroon)
The first shoes, were created in a small factory in the heart of the district N'Dokoti .
Little by little, has created a production line with sewing machines found locally and with the help of local shoemakers.
As trade began to developp,political problem such as corruption came into the buisness :
« Buy a beer for a customs officer, a transporter , a policeman became a daily event in Cameroon, until the day when, the cost of all these « beers »lead us to re-evaluate the commercial exploitation »
You will have understood, the Cameroonian adventure came to an end.
Moreover the supply from Tunisia and Egypt had to cease with the «Tunisian Revolution » and the Arab Spring.
Yet, despite all this vicissitudes and contraints,on the one hand linked to the political instability that persist in Africa, the brand has been able to draw his pin from the game !

PROBLEME SUR PROBLEME, toutefois l'aventure ne fais que commencer.
En 2011, la boîte commence à produire ses chaussure à Addis Abeba (Etchiopie)
SAWA SHOES, prend alors une nouvelle tournure malgré les embûches et les « galères africaines » (faible productivité, logistique complexes ,corruption...)
La fabrique de chaussure, pousse encore et toujours plus sa qualité en utilisant des matériaux de qualité (cuir fin, doublure en cuir,semelle extérieur cousue …) et ce en comptant sur une équipe qui gagne (une équipe principalement africaine) !
De plus, tous les employés sont en contrat permanent et reçoivent des salaires beaucoup plus élevé que la moyenne en comptant également les primes de vacances (Noël, nouvel an Etchiopien, l'Aïd...).
La marque SAWA connaît déjà un véritable succès, et à participé à de nombreuses collaboration notamment avec le fameux rappeur Oxmo Puccino, la marque de prêt à porter française Cotélac, mais aussi maison château rouge.
Aujourd'hui, SAWA connaît une ascension fulgurante, surtout lorsque nous savons toutes les galères qu'elle a traversée !

Problem on problem, however the adventure is only started because in 2011, the company starts to produce their shoes in Addis Ababa (Etchiopie) SAWA shoes, then takes a new turn despite the pitfalls and the "African Galleys" (low productivity, complex logistics, corruption...) The shoe factory still and ever more its quality using quality materials (fine leather, leather lining, sewn outer sole...) And this by counting on a team that wins (an African mainly team)! In addition, all employees are in permanent contract and receive salaries much higher than the average by counting also the holiday bonuses (Christmas, New Year Etchiopien, Eid...). The brand SAWA already knows a real success, and participated in many collaborations notably with the famous Oxmo Puccino, the brand of ready to wear French Cotélac, but also house Red Castle, Public Enemy, Doctor Without Borders. Today, SAWA is experiencing a dazzling ascenssion, especially when we know all the galleys she has been through!

Sawa propose aujourd'hui 5 modèles de chaussures différentes à mi chemin avec la tennis rétro aussi bien pour les hommes que les femmes et les enfants.
Sans oublier que ce son des produits d'une bonne qualité : résistance à l'abrasion, résistante à la flexion (Du costeaud quoi!)
Toutefois comme vous l'aurez compris au travers de l'article SAWA n'est pas une marque comme les autres !
Au delà d'être une marque de chaussure, ses ambitions vont plus loin, il s'agit d'un challenge....

Not to mention that , they are products of a good quality: resistance to abrasion, flexion resistance... However as you will have understood through the article, SAWA is not a brand like the others ! Beyond being a shoe brand, it's ambitions go further, it is a challenge.... bring added value to the African continent so: "Vote with your Feet"
